Pathway to Radical Recovery

The Solid Rock Road recovery program is based on 10 Bible-based principles that take people on a 12 week journey of spiritual awareness and self-discovery. Along the way, participants seize opportunities for change, find themselves in the presence of God and receive spiritual tools and weapons to fight and win the battle for their souls. Along the Solid Rock Road of recovery, eyes are opened to truth, strength is restored and the fire of God successfully transforms lives.

The Solid Rock Road recovery program gathers weekly for 12 weeks. Its mission is “to serve those battling with drugs and alcohol by calling on the Holy Spirit to lead people to the path of righteousness, and by promoting an intimate and interactive relationship with God.”

Director: Jerry Pineda
Jerry Pineda is an elder at Joy Christian Fellowship and holds a Biblical Theology Degree from Zoe Bible College. He has been the Director of the Solid Rock Road ministry for five years and is a former staff member of OnTrack’s Dad’s Program, a secular treatment facility in Medford, Oregon. Prior to moving to Oregon, Pineda worked as a counselor at Casa Oasis, a California-based prison pre-release program in San Jose.

Lead Counselor: Sherry Colby, CADC1
In 2002, Sherry Colby received by inspiration the 10 principles of the Solid Rock Road recovery program. As Lead Counselor, she provides individual and group counseling to recovering addicts looking for a God-based alternative to traditional treatment.
Colby holds a Human Services Degree and is a state-licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADCI). Colby has worked for OnTrack in Medford, Oregon, and later at the Addictions Recovery Center (ARC) where was chosen to co-facilitate a dual diagnosis mental health group for clients with co-existing addictions and mental health disorders.

Program Development: Jamee Pineda
Jamee Pineda earned a Biblical Theology Degree from Zoe Bible College in 2002. She is currently a teacher for Joy’s School of Leaders, a speaker and participant at the Women of Worth meetings, and presenter at the weekend encounters for women and children.
Pineda has worked as a professional writer and editor for the past 20 years. A Senior Writer at Affluent magazine, she is a trained journalist and owner of Writing For All Reasons in Medford, Oregon. For the past five years Jamee has created the group facilitation, training and marketing materials for the Solid Rock Road recovery program and acted as the organization’s program developer and event coordinator.
